About Us

Skyline is our place on the planet. We are engaged in restoring the forest after a devastating wildfire, planting trees, creating trails and restoring wildlife habitat. We cut our own firewood. We tend goats and grow gardens. Our creek provides our electricity. We know the source of our spring and the well from which we drink. Our practice is to be present to each abundant moment in which we find ourselves.

teresa Teresa Hahn lived 26 years in a Carmelite Monastery, embodying a contemplative way of life informed by the Christian mystical tradition. In her work of hands and heart she continues to live a contemplative life here at Skyline, a monastery without walls and without institutional boundaries.

diana Diane Pendola holds a BA in cross-cultural religious studies and a Master's in theology. She has studied the Enneagram with Helen Palmer and is a long time student of Gestalt Awareness Practice with Christine Price. She is certified as a pastoral minister. Her worldview has been largely informed by two visionary teachers: Raimon Panikkar and Thomas Berry.

In 1988 Diane and Teresa co-founded Skyline Harvest as a response to the needs of incarcerated and chemically-dependent women. Our eco-contemplative center expands our commitment to justice for the poor and marginalized, to include justice and healing for the whole earth community.

We understand that an embodied spirituality, rooted in the Earth, and dedicated to healing the split between body and soul, spirit and matter, human and divine, is integral to the great work being called forth by our time. We want to participate in bringing this emerging spirituality to birth.
